Walker Therapy
Helping you back up, when life has knocked you down.
Conditions Treated
Challenging events in our lives- whether trauma, illness or injury- can, over time, affect our brain and nervous system because of the thoughts, memories and perceptions that have been laid down during those challenging times. We can be left experiencing long lasting health issues and unhealthy behaviour patterns that affect our lives and those around us considerably. Some of these you may be able to recognise in yourself:
- Persistent, shifting pain without clear cause
- Constant fatigue despite adequate sleep
- Frequent tension headaches
- Jaw pain or teeth clenching (TMJ)
- POTS, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Inability to break unhealthy habits (overworking, procrastination, negative self-talk)
- Regular burnout
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Ongoing tension and difficulty relaxing
- Fluctuations in sweating, body temperature, heart rate, and breathing
- Sleep disturbances (trouble falling or staying asleep)
- Skin rashes that worsen with stress
- Difficulty swallowing
About Me
I have worked as a physiotherapist for 29 years, helping clients overcome acute and chronic orthopaedic injuries to relieve their pain and regain their ability to enjoy life. I’ve truly loved this journey.
Over the years, I noticed some clients struggled with persistent pain. In 2019, I began studying pain with the Train Pain Academy as well as with other leading health professionals in this field. It opened my eyes to the connection between mental health, stress, and our overall well-being. This new perspective brought many insights together for me.
In 2023, I took a leap of faith and transitioned from hands-on physiotherapy to a practice focused on Chronic Pain and Dysautonomia, dedicated to helping people get back up, when life has knocked them down. Drawing on my experience as a physiotherapist, my own mental health journey as a wife and mom, and the knowledge I’ve gained from exceptional lecturers in neuroscience, I am passionate about sharing tools and insights with you.
My goal is to empower you and walk alongside you as you restore your health and rediscover the vibrant, authentic version of yourself to live a full life again. Together, we can navigate the path to healing, restoring and resilience.
